Law Journal

The Caribbean Law Review publishes articles on any area of law relevant to the Caribbean region along with pertinent case commentaries and book reviews. The Journal will both assist interested persons in staying abreast with recent developments and provide extensive discussion on legal reform.

The Editorial Advisory Committee is comprised of distinguished academics, practitioners and members of the judiciary from around the world while the Editorial Committee comprises of senior members of staff from all three University of the West Indies campuses.

Information for Authors

The Caribbean Law Review will not consider articles, case commentaries or book reviews which have been submitted elsewhere. All submissions must be exclusively to the Caribbean Law Review.
It is the Author’s responsibility to ensure that all citations are correct and that submissions do not infringe copyright. Submissions must not be obscene or defamatory.
All submissions will be peer reviewed by at least two persons, of which at least one will be a specialist in the relevant field of law. Authors will be notified as soon as possible of the outcome of the peer review.

Word Limits:
Articles are to be less than 10,000 words excluding footnotes.
Case Commentaries and Book Reviews are to be less than 2,500 words excluding footnotes.
Citation style: Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).Available at

Submissions must be made electronically, in Microsoft Word format, by way of email attachment.

100 words with up to 6 key words.

Personal details:
Personal details are to be included as an asterisk to the Authors name at the foot of Page One.
Details to be included: Name, academic and professional qualifications, institutional affiliation and current occupation of each author.
