Bio

Adetutu AINA-PELEMO is a Notary Public officer as well as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, with fifteen years of progressive legal and academic experience. As a legal practitioner and academic scholar, I have conducted research in multiple contexts integrating methodologies from diverse disciplines, including law and other social science disciplines. My research focuses mainly on women’s rights, labour rights, legal analysis, and theory on domestic violence, organisational structure, sex education, sexual harassment, gender studies, and violence prevention as its sparse within the four subjects of my core interest (Constitutional law, Labour relations, and Industrial law, Human rights and Intellectual property law). I taught different law courses in diverse cultural settings, including India, The Gambia, and Nigeria. I currently teach at the Faculty of Law, University of West-Indies, Barbados. I, as an Associate Professor that have served as the Sub-Dean for two academic calendar sessions, served as the Acting, Head of Department of Jurisprudence and International Law at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Nigeria for two other academic calendar sessions, has provided mentorship to students across various climes. I also functioned as Chairman, Faculty Seminars and Publications Committee and the Managing Editor of Redeemer’s University Nigeria Journal of Jurisprudence and International Law

As an expert on sexual harassment matters, I train, own a You-Tube channel and organises workshops on all forms of harassment in the workplace. I have been privileged to serve as resource person to educate the entire students and lecturers of a Private and State University about sexual harassment. I am a published Author, that co-authored the book "Sexual Harassment and the Law" in 2020, which has received commendations from Legal Luminaries. I am relatively skilled in research, which is evidenced from my impact as a member of the research team contacted by Nigerian University Commission (NUC) to write a reading textbook on one of the compulsory law courses (Nigerian Constitutional Law) on Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) for all Nigerian Law students. In addition, I have not only written for notable institution like Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), but published over fifty research works with Scopus, and reputable peer review journals. I also serve as member of different organisations and reviewer to numerous notable international and national Journals.
