PRO-VICE-CHANCELLOR

BOARD FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES

 

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor, Board for Undergraduate Studies.

 

The Pro-Vice Chancellor serves as Chairman of the Board for Undergraduate Studies (BUS) and provides policy and executive support of the Vice Chancellor in the discharge of his/her responsibility to develop and enhance the University’s undergraduate offerings and its image within and outside of the region.  The successful applicant will be responsible for giving overall direction in establishing and providing central control over policy relating to undergraduate studies and a quality audit and assurance function intended to maintain the quality of first and sub-degree programmes.

 

The PVC sits on major University Committees including the Council, and the standing Committees including the Finance and General Purposes Committee and University Appointments Committee.

 

The appointment is for three (3) years in the first instance.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to assume duties by January, 2013.
