Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Political Science, Department of Government, Sociology & Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.
The successful applicant must possess a Ph.D. in Political Science. A good record of teaching and research experience in the areas of Caribbean political development and political theory would be an advantage. The applicant would be required to teach a cross section of strategic courses in the discipline such as development politics, comparative politics, political theory and Caribbean political development.
The successful applicant should demonstrate a capacity to lead and guide graduate research and to teach in graduate courses in the field of Government.
The successful applicant would be expected to assume duty by August 1st, 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter.
