The Associate
Degree in the Caribbean
with Particular Reference to the OECS
During 1998-2002 the TLI Unit was contracted by the OECS to assist
in the development of Associate Degrees and articulation of these
associated degrees with the UWI. Through consultations with the
UWI, colleges and universities, the Association of Caribbean
Tertiary Institutions (ACTI) and the Caribbean Examination council (CXC)
some common understandings have emerged about the Associate Degrees
in the Caribbean.
The book is a documentation of these understandings and a
compilation of eight general education course outlines developed by
the region which embody current and acceptable standards endorsed by
colleges and universities from the entire CARICOM.
Complimentary copies were sent to TLIs currently on our mailing
list.
