Brief Description of the Royal Bank Institute of Business and Technology (ROYTEC)

 

The Mission of ROYTEC

To impact the competitiveness of individuals and organisations through the creation of innovative learning experiences which facilitate personal mastery, develop marketable skills and enhance organisational performance.

The institute started as a Human Resource Development Division of the Royal Bank of Canada and its primary function was to upgrade and enhance staff skills. Recently the Institute offers post secondary training (training young people for the world of work). Other programmes offered are as follows.

Management & Industrial Organisational Psychology A minimum of 5 CXC passes Grades I & II General or Technical Proficiency or 5 GCE including Maths & English Language and 2 ‘A’ Levels Grade ‘B’ OR an average in the Associate Degree Programmes
Business Administration* A minimum of 5 CXC passes Grades I & II General or Technical Proficiency or 5 GCE including Maths & English Language and 2 ‘A’ Levels Grade ‘B’ OR an average in the Associate Degree Programmes
Management Information System A minimum of 5 CXC passes Grades I & II General or Technical Proficiency or 5 GCE including Maths & English Language and 2 ‘A’ Levels Grade ‘B’ OR an average in the Associate Degree Programmes
