Colleges Delivering UWI Programmes

Over the years the University of the West Indies (UWI) has sought  to establish relationships with the tertiary level institutions (TLIs) of the region.  The type of relationship UWI has with a TLI varies depending on the arrangements agreed upon regarding the delivery of UWI programme(s) and/or course(s).

At present there are four community colleges in Jamaica delivering UWI Preliminary Science Programmes and there are ten that offer UWI Certificates in Public Administration, Business Administration,  Management Studies and/or Social Studies.

Teachers' Colleges and the education departments of colleges around the region, have special arrangements with the UWI through the Joint Board for Teacher Education (JBTE) or the Standing Conference for Teacher Education. Erdiston College - Barbados - offers both the UWI Certificate in Educational Administration and the Diploma in Education.

Colleges Delivering Franchised UWI Programmes

The Antigua State College (ASC), the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) - St Kitts and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) - St Lucia are three Non-Campus Countries colleges delivering first year UWI  franchised degree programmes in Humanities & Education, Pure & Applied Sciences and Social Sciences.  ASC and SALCC also deliver second year degree programmes in Social Sciences and Pure & Applied Sciences.
