Journal of Eastern Caribbean Studies (JECS)
You have reached the Journal of Eastern Caribbean Studies (JECS), a referred, quarterly journal produced by SALISES, Cave Hill Campus. JECS has a reputation for publishing research geared towards addressing Eastern Caribbean issue problems. It is at the forefront of analysis and commentary on fundamental issues on small country-size and possibilities of Caribbean development. JECS is a journal that looks beyond strict development studies' as culture, history, business and environmental concerns are covered. Contributions are welcome!
JECS is not adverse to publishing provocative articles and exploratory essays provided that they can contribute to theoretical advancement in social science thought, and/or better inform policy-makers on a course of action.
This journal links the academic terrains of the Eastern Caribbean, the Commonwealth Caribbean, and other developing countries in the Americas. However, it remains keen on rendering Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines visible to a global community of students, researchers, policymakers, and investors.
While the contents of each issue will not be available in electronic form over the Internet, you will be able to read the abstracts of upcoming issues.
