ABOUT BARBADOS
Barbados is the most easterly island in the chain of Caribbean islands. The island enjoys a mild and pleasant tropical climate all year round. Barbados is surrounded by white sandy beaches and has an excellent infrastructure with an extensive network of surfaced roads and a good internal and external telecommunication system, including internet access.
There are also good airport and seaport facilities with daily connections with countries of North and South America, Europe and most Caribbean countries. The country maintains a high standard of health care which is easily accessible to all. The main hospital is the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and there are a number of Polyclinics which also provide free secondary health care.
Barbados is both a solace for relaxation and a virtual mecca for active lifestyles and cultural pursuits. Far beyond stretches of sublime beach, our warm hospitality extends to splendid cultural events, sporting activities and historic attractions.
