Barbados International Business Association Scholarships
There are five (5) scholarships to be awarded annually and will facilitate students' participation in the UWI International Exchange and Study Abroad Programmes.
These scholarships shall be offered to Barbadian nationals at the Cave Hill Campus of The University of the West Indies, pursuing undergraduate studies in management, finance, economics, law or combinations of these disciplines.

There are two separate scholarship programs:
- College and Undergraduate Student's Exchange Program (CUSEP):

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme 2012
Postgraduate and postdoctoral students can now benefit from the Erasmus Mundus programme which was recently extended in scope and budget to include opportunities for higher level tertiary students. Erasmus Mundus is a programme which provides support to individual students, researchers and university staff who wish to spend a period studying, research or teaching.
There are approximately 12 scholarships exclusively available to students, alumni and staff of The UWI as follows – eight (8) full master’s scholarships, two (2) scholarships for mobility as part of your doctoral programme and two (2) academic/administrative staff scholarships. Applicants must, however, be nationals of ACP countries.
The Mundus ACP II Project provides for the payment of a monthly scholarship (between 1000 and 2500 Euros, according to the type of mobility), a return ticket, health, accident and travel insurance, and tuition fees to the host institution, where applicable.
The application deadline is January 31, 2012

The Commonwealth Study Abroad Consortium (CUSAC) Bursary Scheme
This scheme assists undergraduates to undertake part of their studies in a member university in another Commonwealth country. Bursaries are awarded for travel on the basis of an exchange agreement between two CUSAC member institutions.
The Caribbean Integration Program Bursary
The Caribbean Integration Programme was conceived in 2006, with a view to promoting the movement of
students across the four campuses of the UWI thereby re-kindling the spirit of regionality that had initially
characterized the University in the early days of its existence.
bursaries valued US$5,000 each, for students desirous of spending one semester at a campus other than their home campus. Recipients of the bursaries would use the US$5000 to cover expenses associated with airfare, accommodation and upkeep while at their host campus.
Eligibility:
The bursary is available to registered full time undergraduate students who:
· have completed at least two (2) semesters of study at their respective campuses;
· are not entering their final semester;
· are not pursuing a degree programme in the following faculties Law, Engineering or Medicine.
Criteria:
The award will be based on:
· good academic achievement (minimum GPA of 3.0) in the previous year's University Examinations;
· verifiable involvement in co-curricular activities.
How to Apply
· Applications are available from the Campus International Office located on the different campuses;
· Complete application form in full, incomplete applications will not be processed;
· Application forms should be endorsed where indicated by the head of the department which
administers your major;
· Your application should be accompanied by proof of approval of the specific courses which you intend
study for the semester. These courses should be approved by both home and host
Faculty/Department.
Caribbean Integration Program Bursary Application Form
WIGUT
WIGUT, the UWI academic staff union, has set up a small fund to finance a limited number of Travel Bursaries to assist with the cost of travel from home to the country of choice. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. The Travel Bursary is based on academic merit and financial need.
