Q: When is the faculty office open?
A: 9 AM - 5 PM Weekdays.
Q: Where do I drop off my assignments?
A: This depends on the department offering the course you are doing and instructions from your lecturer. For example CMP courses such as electronics and computer science will usually require that assignments be dropped off at the Computer Science maths & Physics Department Office. The same applies to Chemistry and Biology courses and the BCS departmental office. However your lecturer may decide to give you specific instruction regarding individual assignments. Please note all handouts, book list, tutorials sheets etc will also be collected from the department office
Q: How do I drop or add a subject?
A: Subjects can only be added / dropped at the begininning of the semeter during registration. This is done online. Should you experience any problems you can go to your head of dept or The Pure & Applied Representative in student affars (Mrs. Denise Greenidge)
Q: Can I change my major?
A: Yes, however you will need to fill out a change of major form (available from the faculty office or online)
Q: Can I transfer to another faculty?
A: Yes, however, you will have to wait a year, before you are eligble. Please note that transfer forms are to be collected from the records section in student affairs, the faculty office, or online.
Q: Where can I purchase a student lab manual?
A: Depending on your course your lab manuals will be available at the department office. Physics lab manuals are available from the Computer Science Maths & Physics Dept. Office (CMP) and Biology / Chemistry manuals are available from the Biology & Chemistry Dept Office BCS.
Q: Where can I purchase a lab coat?
A: Lab coats are available from the BCS Office.
Q: Where can I get a locker?
A: Lockers are available within the faculty at a nominal cost of $30 BDS dollars. This fee is comprised of $20 BDS for rental and $10 BDS key deposit which is refunded once key is returned on time at the end of the academic year.
