The Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) at Cave Hill MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program builds on a 42-year history of medical education at The University of The West Indies. The curriculum is designed to train regional as well as international students in the basic and clinical medical sciences.

The MBBS program at Cave Hill has been accredited by CAAM (Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Medicine). The FMS administration and faculty have established educational and assessment criteria that are consistent with the highest, regional (CAAM) and international accreditation standards. Read more »

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The MBBS programme is a five year integrated curriculum that comprises three years of training in the basic medical sciences, with early and phased introduction of clinical experience (Phase 1) and two years of pure clinical training (Phase 2) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados.
