Bursaries

Applications are invited for Bursaries which will be available for the 2013/2014 academic year to full-time students who would, in May 2013 have successfully completed at the University, at least the first year of a three year degree program or completed the first year of the MBBS, Stage 1 Examinations in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.

 

Note that students reading for the Preliminary Agriculture course and more than one Preliminary course in Science & Technology are not eligible.

 

 

A. ACADEMIC BURSARIES:- FORM A (Click here to Download Application Form PDF)

Awarded on the basis of the applicant's Academic Record with special reference to his/her performance in the 2012/2013 university examinations. (Normally A's & B+'s).

VALUE: BDS$2,230.00 

 

 

B. CO-CURRICULAR BURSARIES:- FORM B (Click here to Download Application Form PDF)

Based on contribution to university life, as evidenced by his/her participation in co-curricular activities. Applicants must indicate the areas in which they have made contributions during the 2012/2013 academic year and request a Warden, Director of Sports, Director of Music, Director of Student Services, Dean or any other member of the Senior Administrative or Academic Staff of the University to sign the application form attesting to their involvement in such activities. (Normally, Minimum B average is required).

VALUE: BDS$2,230.00

 

NB: Students who are currently holders of the Co-Curricular Bursaries should re-apply. Application forms are also available from and should be returned to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs (Admissions) (c/o Records Section) St. Augustine; The Director, Office of Student Financing, Mona Campus; The Resident Representative, Nassau, Bahamas; The Registrar, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, St. Lucia; and The Registrar, Antigua State College.

 

Completed application forms must be submitted to the Student Affairs (Records) by JUNE 30, 2013. The form can also be faxed to (246) 425-1327 or (246) 424-7392.

 

NB: Bursaries may not be held jointly with any other award where together the value is more than 15/25%* of maintenance cost plus tuition fees.
