The BA (Theology) Degree Requirements
All Theology Courses are Taught at Codrington College But Not All are Necessarily Taught in any Given Academic Year.
In order to graduate with the BA (Theology) degree, students must accumulate a total of 90 credits (30 courses).
The following special restrictions apply:
Level I: Not more than twelve (12) courses (36 credits) must be from Level I
Level III: Not fewer than five (5) courses (15 credits) must be from Level III.
A minimum of twenty-two (22) courses (66 credits) credits must be chosen from the following areas:
at least 4 courses (12 credits) in Biblical Studies;
at least 2 courses (6 credits) in Historical Studies;
at least 4 courses (12 credits) in Theological and Ethical Studies;
at least 2 courses (6 credits) in Religious and Philosophical Studies;
at least 4 courses (12 credits) in Pastoral Studies;
at least 4 courses (12 credits) in Foundation Courses;
at least 6 credits in Caribbean Studies (or equivalent)
The remaining eight (8) courses (twenty-four [24] credits) shall be chosen from any of the first five areas listed above with the approval of the College.
Candidates may choose up to four (4) courses (12 credits) from Level II and III courses offered from among those provided by the Faculty of Humanities and Education at the Cave Hill campus but not normally listed as available for the BA (Theology).
