Dutchman
Written by Amiri Baraka

Starring Matthew Murrell and Amanda Hoyos

An emotionally charged and highly symbolic version of the Adam and Eve story. The explosive play which exposed that the USA is the melting pot where nothing ever melted. A ferociously divided nation, where till today people confuse sex with love and racial hatred with power…

Sizwe Banzi is Dead
Written by Athol Fugard, John Kani & Winston Shona

Directed by Esiaba Irobi
Starring Shawn Green and Karlos Cobham

This play served as the bomb with which black South Africans blew apart the institution of Apartheid. It is a moving and immensely funny expose of life in a country in which the only way a black man could survive was to take on the identity of a dead man.

Viewer discretion is advised

The play was written and performed by Victor Richards. The play is set in the present, but explores recent history from the 1950’s onwards. In his one man show, Victor Richards explores African-Caribbean migration, and themes of hope, identity and change. The story line of “Streets Paved with Gold” weaves together a thrilling and informative picture of the collective experiences of Black British Citizens resulting from their new surroundings.
