MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the CLR James Cricket Research Centre Library is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching and learning needs of the university community conducting cricket research.

 

VISION FOR THE LIBRARY

• To meet the educational needs of students in the area of cricket research
• To help students achieve their learning objectives
• To demonstrate innovation in services offered
• To provide an atmosphere conducive to learning, teaching and working
• To aggressively pursue resources needed to achieve our mission
• To maintain an excellent collection that is notable for the strength of its holdings and will be recognised as a primary regional resource in the area of cricket
• To enhance access to knowledge, promote scholarly communication and provide information to academic staff in support of cricket research
• To offer a service which is open to, and that welcomes members of the wider community
• To make the CRC a place where knowledge of the traditions of the game of cricket is made available as part of our West Indian heritage and where new generations may learn
• To be a repository where cricket records and memorabilia are exhibited and preserved for posterity
• To be committed to providing excellent customer service
