SUMMER/SUPPLEMENTAL 2008-2009:::

EXAM CARDS

ALL STUDENTS IN GOOD FINANCIAL STANDING WRITING THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES SUMMER/SUPPLEMENTAL EXAMINATIONS 2008-2009 ARE REQUESTED TO COLLECT THEIR EXAMINATION CARDS FROM JULY 6 - 10, 2009 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9.00 A.M. AND 6.00 P.M. IN THE TEACHING COMPLEX LOBBY. 

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IN KEEPING WITH EXAMINATION REGULATION 85 (IV) any candidate who fails to collect his/her examination card by the stated deadline shall be liable to a late fee of Bds$10.00.


EXAMINATION CARDS WILL ONLY BE DELIVERED ON PRESENTATION OF VALID STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

STUDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT EXAMINATION CARDS AND IDENTIFICATION CARDS MUST BE PRESENTED AT ALL EXAMINATIONS.

 

FEE PAYMENTS

For continuing students:

Fees may be paid by credit card by visiting CHOL and following the directions there.

Fees may also be paid through the Royal Bank of Canada’s and the Bank of Nova Scotia’s on-line facility for customers of those banks or at any branch of the Barbados National Bank.

The opening hours for the UWI’s cashier window is 9.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

 

SEMESTER II 2008-2009:::
UNDERGRADUATE EXAMINATIONS RESULTS

 

Students are reminded that ALL examination results are issued subject to approval by the relevant Faculty Boards of Examiners and confirmation by the University Senate.  Boards of Examiners may amend grades prior to approval by University Senate.

 
THE DEADLINE DATE FOR REQUESTS FOR REMARKS AND/OR DISCUSSIONS (DISCUSSION MEANS - GO THROUGH A FAILED SCRIPT ONLY) OF EXAMINATION RESULTS IS FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2009.  NO REQUESTS WOULD BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.
 

STUDENTS EXPECTING TO COMPLETE THEIR PROGRAMME AND GRADUATE AT THE END OF SEMESTER II 2008-2009 ARE ASKED TO CHECK THEIR ON-LINE  RECORDS CAREFULLY AS WELL AS TO ENSURE THAT NAMES AND ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT. IF THERE ARE ERRORS PLEASE REPORT THESE IMMEDIATELY TO THE ADMISSIONS/REGISTRATIONS OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS.

 


STUDENTS ARE ALSO INFORMED THAT A GRADE HOLD WOULD BE APPLIED TO ALL STUDENTS’ RECORDS WHICH WILL BE REMOVED WHEN RESULTS ARE MADE OFFICIAL.  Any other Holds would remain unaffected by this GRADE HOLD.

 

GRADUATE EXAMINATIONS RESULTS

Students who wrote examinations in May 2009 should note that Board of Examiners meetings for Semester 2, 2008-2009 will be held as follows:-

School of Education          Monday June 08, 2009

Humanities                      Tuesday June 09, 2009

Pure & Applied Sciences    Wednesday June 10, 2009

Social Sciences           Thursday June 11 & Friday June 12, 2009 (excluding the Cave Hill School of Business)            

Results for these Faculties and Departments will all be declared on Friday June 12, 2009 and will be available for on-line viewing from Monday June 15, 2009.

Note that, as allowed for in the Regulations for Graduate Degrees and Diplomas, the period for requesting re-marks will end on July 13, 2009.

No requests for courses declared this week can be considered after that date.

Re-mark forms are available on the website of the School for Graduate Studies and Research, and we ask you to note that there is a charge of BDS$125.00 per re-mark requested.

Result letters will not be sent, but students who are sponsored by International Agencies that require such letters, should send a written request to gradstudies@cavehill.uwi.edu and allow two (2) working days for the processing of the request.
