The Campus Quality Assurance Office (CQAO) is committed to the continuous improvement of the quality of the student experience at UWI Cave Hill. The CQAO encourages and supports Campus effort to deliver a high quality experience in order to achieve the University’s Strategic Objectives and fulfil the Campus’ Student Charter.
The Cave Hill Campus applies the concept of the quality cycle in delivering services and support to students both inside and outside of the classroom. This cycle includes four phases:
Through our student and stakeholder research, the CQAO helps departments and units to generate insight into the desired and actual student experience and educational outcomes at Cave Hill. Working collaboratively with our internal clients, we recommend approaches to harnessing resources or improving operational processes in order to make improvements that impact student and/or stakeholder satisfaction.
As part of the planning process, we provide support in establishing targets and systems to evaluate progress. Sometimes we take the lead on implementing changes. At other times, we’re involved as a member of the many cross-disciplinary groups that come together to address a specific issue or challenge. We’re always working to enhance the overall Campus experience in order to achieve the Campus’ core educational outcomes.
