GIVE TO UWI: Time and Talent
The alumni community is a vital resource for supporting the personal and professional development of current students. Our Office of Student Services, under the guidance of Deputy Principal, Professor Leo Moseley, is working to implement programmes that will aid the development of well-rounded graduates, who are well prepared to take their place as future leaders and citizens of the Caribbean. We need your help! Here are some of the ways you may volunteer to give your time and talent to help current students:
Prepare for the world of work
The Office of Student Services is in the process of establishing a Student Professional Development Centre to prepare students for the world of work, or to compete for postgraduate scholarships. The Centre is building a resource bank of materials, as well as a programme of workshops for students in areas such as resume writing, interviewing skills, business dress and etiquette etc. You can make a difference to this effort by donating career resource materials, or by volunteering to deliver a workshop. Please do not hesitate to contact Director of Student Services, Harriet Yearwood to volunteer or to discuss how you may contribute to this very important programme.
Mentor a student
