Establish a Scholarship In Your Name

Many students need financial support to complete their studies. Your gift to a deserving UWI student can make all the difference to their lives. You may give a full or partial scholarship to assist with the cost of fees and/or living expenses. Your gift may be endowed to ensure that it remains in perpetuity and can be tax deductible, if established by deed of covenant.

 

To establish a full or partial scholarship in your name, or in the name of a loved one, you need to:

• Make a minimum contribution of US $1200. Full scholarships can range from US $1200 to US $5000, depending on the student's programme.
• Determine the criteria for the scholarship - i.e. who would be eligible to win.
• Contact the Office of Alumni Relations, so that we may facilitate the process of establishing the award.

 

Establish Student Prize In Your Name

For a minimum gift of US $300 you may establish a student prize in your name, or in the name of a loved one. These prizes are awarded to students annually at a gala event on Campus. Usually, the cash voucher is redeemable in books at the UWI Bookshop. Your gift may be endowed to ensure that it remains in perpetuity and can be tax deductible if established by deed of covenant.

To establish a student prize in your name you need to:

• Determine the amount you want to contribute. Student prizes typically range from US $300 to US $1000.
• Determine the criteria for the prize - i.e. who would be eligible to win.
• Contact the Office of Alumni Relations, so that we may facilitate the process of establishing the award

 

Help Beautify The Campus

Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the Cave Hill Campus is passionate about beautifying the Campus compound. Work on this project has already begun with the planting of gardens and will continue with the development of a number of quiet spaces in currently unutilised areas. These areas will be landscaped and benches and gazebos erected so that students may use them for study and relaxation. Alumni support is sought for this project through the sponsorship of a limited number of benches and gazebos. You may sponsor a bench or gazebo, on which a plaque may be erected with an "In honour of..." or "In memory of..." inscription.

 

To sponsor a bench, a contribution of US $1200 is required; while to sponsor a gazebo, the required donation is US $15,000.
