The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus will be hosting its annual graduation ceremony on Saturday 20th October 2012.
This year, a total of 1689 students including 295 post graduates are slated to receive their scrolls at two ceremonies. The first ceremony begins at 10.00 am. for graduands from the Faculties of Humanities & Education, Engineering, Pure & Applied Sciences, (now Faculty of Science & Technology) Food & Agriculture and Medical Sciences and the second ceremony begins at 5.00 pm for the graduands from the Faculties of Social Sciences and Law.
As is customary, the University will be conferring honorary degrees on outstanding persons in our society. This year’s honorary graduands will include cultural ambassador Anthony ‘Mighty Gabby’ Carter and James Husbands solar industrialist and an award-winning forerunner in the solar hot water industry. They will be joined by Senegalese author and entrepreneur Doudou Diene .
The Venue for the Ceremony is the Gymnasium, Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, Wildey,
St. Michael, Barbados.
