Orientation to University Teaching for New Faculty

This full-day seminar serves to provide an orientation to the principles and practices that undergird teaching at the university level. The morning session starts by allowing new lecturers to reflect on the qualities, interests, knowledge and skills which they bring to the experience and provides critical techniques, strategies and methodologies to prepare them for teaching.  The afternoon session takes place in the CETL Media Lab and is designed to get faculty started on the basics of technology-enhanced pedagogy.

A handbook on teaching and learning is distributed to be used by new lecturers as a guide to classroom practice and in advance of their enrolment in the PGCUTL programme.
